Flour Tortillas
- 225g flour - 1 c. à café salt - 1/2 sachet baking powder - 4 c. à soupe oil - 10cl water Mix dry ingredients then add wet ingredients with mixer at medium. Mix for 1 minute, scraping the sides of the bowl when necessary. When a ball begins to form (about a minute), decrease mixer to low. Continue until smooth (about a minute).
Divide in half 3 times to get 8 equal balls. Flatten the balls then cover with a towel for 10 minutes.
Heat a frying pan on medium until drops of water dance. This will take about 5 minutes -- the dough will have been covered for 15 minutes total.
Roll each ball very thin, cook for 1 minute, then flip and cook for 30 seconds. The top will have little bubbles and the bottom a few brown spots. If flour starts to accumulate, wipe out the pan between tortillas. Based on 1/2 of the recipe by Chris Scheuer
